Covid Update from Steven Marshal 30th June 2021

COVID-19 update: New restrictions and recommendations for SA

Five new positive COVID-19 cases linked to the Northern Territory outbreak have been detected in South Australia.
To ensure we stay ahead of the highly transmissible Delta variant, new restrictions and recommendations will come into effect today.
The following restrictions apply in Metropolitan, Barossa, Fleurieu Peninsula, Mt Barker and Adelaide Hills areas in South Australia:

  • Home gatherings are capped at a maximum at 10 people per house hold;
  • Masks are highly recommended in indoor public areas and on public transport; and
  • If possible, it is recommended that people work from home, if physical distancing cannot be maintained in the workplace, unless they are essential workers.

We have listened to the expert advice, and are taking immediate action to keep South Australia safe and strong. It is essential all South Australians use QR codes (or manual check in system if not available) to check in at all relevant locations. And If you experience even very minor symptoms, get tested for COVID-19. A full list of restrictions and more information will be available at the government's COVID-19 website: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au.
